Resizing appointments

Use this guide to change the duration of an appointment in the Salon Manager diary. Resizing is useful when a service needs more or less time than the original booking allowed.

To resize an appointment, hold the left click on the appointment for one second, use the arrows to extend or shorten it and click OK to confirm.

Before you start

• Access to the appointment diary
• The appointment you want to resize
• An understanding of how long the appointment should be

Step-by-step instructions

1. Open the Salon Manager diary.
2. Find the appointment you want to resize.
3. Hold the left click down on the appointment.
4. Release after one second.
5. Use the arrows at the top or bottom of the appointment to extend or shorten it.
6. When the appointment is the correct length, click OK on the right-hand side.
7. Check the diary to confirm the appointment duration has changed.

Tips

• Resize the appointment before the diary becomes busy, so you can avoid overlaps.
• Check whether changing the appointment length affects another booking, staff break or bookout.

Troubleshooting

The resize arrows do not appear

Make sure you hold the left click on the appointment and release after about one second.

The new appointment length overlaps another booking

Shorten the appointment, move it to another time or adjust the surrounding diary entries if appropriate.

The appointment is still the wrong length

Repeat the resize process and click OK once the duration is correct.
