How to resize an appointment

Follow these steps to adjust the diary duration without changing the booked service.

1Open the diaryOpen the Salon Manager diary.
2Find the appointmentLocate the appointment you want to resize.
3Hold the appointmentHold the left mouse button down on the appointment.
4Release after one secondRelease the button after approximately one second.
5Adjust the durationUse the arrows at the top or bottom of the appointment to extend or shorten it.
6Confirm the new lengthWhen the appointment is the correct length, select OK on the right-hand side.
7Check the diaryConfirm that the appointment duration has updated correctly.

Check the surrounding diary before resizing

Resize the appointment before the diary becomes busy to reduce the chance of overlaps.
Check whether the new length affects another booking, staff break or bookout.
Use the moving appointments process when the booking also needs a different time or team member.

The resize arrows do not appear

Hold the left mouse button on the appointment and release it after approximately one second.

The new appointment length overlaps another booking

Shorten the appointment, move it to another time or adjust the surrounding diary entries when appropriate.

The appointment is still the wrong length

Repeat the resize process and select OK once the duration is correct.
