How to Exclude Clients from Service Messages

Stop an individual client from receiving service-related messages by updating the setting on their Salon Manager client record.

How to exclude a client from service messages

Follow these steps to update the communication setting on the individual client record.

1Open Salon ManagerSign in and open the Salon Manager application.
2Find the clientSearch for the client who should be excluded from service messages.
3Open the client recordOpen the correct client’s record card.
4Select Edit ClientChoose Edit Client at the bottom left of the record card.
5Open the settings pageWait for the client settings page to load.
6Scroll to the bottomMove to the lower section of the client settings page.
7Find Settings & switchesLocate the Settings & switches section.
8Exclude service messagesTick Exclude from service messages.
9Review the settingConfirm the setting has been enabled for the correct client.
10Save the clientSelect Update Client to save the change.
11Confirm the exclusionThe client will now be excluded from receiving service messages.

Troubleshooting

Common issues and what to check

The Edit Client button is not visible

Make sure the client’s record card is open. Edit Client appears at the bottom left.

The service messages option is not visible

Scroll to Settings & switches. Exclude from service messages is the first option in that section.

The setting did not save

Make sure you selected Update Client after ticking Exclude from service messages.

The client is still receiving service messages

Reopen the record, confirm Exclude from service messages is ticked, then select Update Client again.
