To set up a roster, open roster settings, select the team member, set the start date, working hours and working days, then confirm and save.
Before you start
- Access to roster settings
- The team member you want to roster
- The working days and start/finish times to apply
- Permission to update diary or roster settings
Step-by-step instructions
- From the diary, open the roster settings using the menu icon on the left-hand side.
- A list of team members in the diary will appear.
- Find the team member you want to roster.
- Click the slider next to their name.
- Click Times at the bottom right.
- Set the roster start date at the top.
- Set the start times using the fields on the left-hand side.
- Set the finish times using the fields on the right-hand side.
- Use the sliders on the right to choose which days the team member works and which days they do not.
- If the team member works different shift patterns, click Add Another Week to Shift.
- When the hours are correct, click Confirm.
- Review the confirmation message showing where the roster starts from.
- Click Save.
- Finish or make further changes as needed.
Tips
- Check the start date carefully before saving a roster.
- Use additional shift weeks if the team member works rotating patterns.
- After saving, check the diary to make sure availability appears as expected.
Troubleshooting
The team member is not listed
Check that the team member is active and included in the diary.
The wrong days are available
Reopen the roster settings and check the day sliders.
The rota changes every other week
Use Add Another Week to Shift to create separate shift patterns.
