How to Set a Custom Notice Period for Client Appointment Reminders

Choose how many days before an appointment an individual client should receive their reminder.

How to set a custom reminder notice period

Follow these steps to give the client a reminder schedule that differs from the salon default.

1Open Salon ManagerSign in and open the Salon Manager application.
2Find the clientSearch for the client whose reminder notice period needs to change.
3Open the client recordOpen the correct client’s record card.
4Select Edit ClientChoose Edit Client at the bottom left.
5Open the settings pageWait for the client settings page to load.
6Find Settings & switchesScroll to the Settings & switches section.
7Find the notice period fieldLocate Booking reminder notice period (days).
8Enter the number of daysEnter how many days before the appointment the reminder should be sent.
9Check the exampleFor example, enter 3 for a reminder three days before the appointment.
10Review the valueCheck that the number entered is correct.
11Save the clientSelect Update Client at the bottom right.
12Confirm the custom scheduleThe client will now receive reminders using the custom notice period.

Check the number of days carefully

Use this setting when a client wants reminders earlier than the salon’s normal schedule.
Check the number of days before saving the client.
Make sure the correct client record is open before changing reminder settings.
Always select Update Client so the custom notice period is saved.

Troubleshooting

Common issues and what to check

The Edit Client button is not visible

Make sure the client’s record card is open. Edit Client appears at the bottom left.

The booking reminder notice period option is not visible

Scroll to Settings & switches. Booking reminder notice period (days) is the second option in that section.

The reminder notice period did not save

Make sure you selected Update Client after entering the number of days.

The client still receives reminders at the usual time

Reopen the record, confirm the value in Booking reminder notice period (days), then select Update Client again.
