To apply permanent discounts to a client in Salon Manager, open the client’s appointment or record card, click Edit Client at the bottom left, scroll down to Settings & switches, choose the relevant Service Discounts and Product Discounts, then click Update Client. Step-by-step instructions

Open Salon Manager.
Find the client you want to apply a permanent discount to.
Open the client’s appointment or record card.
Click Edit Client at the bottom left.
The client settings screen will open.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
Find the Settings & switches section.
On the bottom right, find Service Discounts and Product Discounts.
Select the relevant service discount for the client, if needed.
Select the relevant product discount for the client, if needed.
Review the selected discount options to make sure they are correct.
Click Update Client at the bottom right.
The client will now receive the selected discounts automatically when they have a service or purchase a product.

Tips

Check you have opened the correct client before applying a permanent discount.
Use service discounts for treatments or appointments.
Use product discounts for retail purchases.
Make sure the selected discount is the one the client should receive every time.
Remember to click Update Client, otherwise the discount settings may not be saved.

Troubleshooting

The Edit Client button is not visible

Make sure you have opened the client’s appointment or record card. The Edit Client button appears at the bottom left.

The discount options are not visible

Scroll down to the bottom of the client settings screen and look for Settings & switches. The Service Discounts and Product Discounts options are on the bottom right.

The discount I need is not available

Check that the discount has been set up in Salon Manager before trying to apply it to the client.

The discount did not save

Make sure you clicked Update Client at the bottom right after choosing the discount.

The discount is not applying automatically

Open the client record again, check that the correct service or product discount is selected, then click Update Client.
